Evangelism Campaign in Three Cities

A small group from the states participated with the churches in the Agalta Valley
in an area-wide evangelism campaign.  Those on the trip were Bob Walters from
LaGrange, GA; Ron Schultz from Tyler, TX; Dr. Wilson Howell, Kent Smith and
John & Pat Hendry...all from Plano, TX.

30 students from Instituto Biblico de C.A. (preacher training school in Progresso)
came to the Agalta Valley during October for a one week campaign.  Groups of 10
worked door-to-door in the villages of Pacura, San Esteban, and Gualaco.

Unlike here in the states, people are receptive to door-to-door evangelism.  The students studied with many people during the day.  Old time "tent meeting" style services were held each evening with responses every night.  By the end of the week, approximately 25 had been added to the family with many more restored.

While there, we also participated in group Bible studies in church buildings and in personal homes.  We even conducted a couple of weddings.
